The Book, The Golden Triangle of India – through photos, is a very unique and exclusive touristic book which apart from beautiful photos of historic monuments also gives brief details of DELHI-AGRA-JAIPUR.

All text & photography of this book is written & captured by Ravindra Kumar Gupta. He created this book for promoting tourism in this part of India. He himself travelled on this journey to take different photos of historical and grand monuments from different angles at different points of time in the day. The journey starts from DELHI-The City of Monuments. Creator has covered almost all historical and famous monuments. Amazing photos of these monuments like Lal Qila, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, Purana Qila, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, Akshardham Temple, St. James Church, India Gate, Galib Ki Haveli etc are given in the book along with their brief detail.

The capital city of Delhi has a long history, and has been an important political centre of India. Its earliest appearance is in the second millennium BCE, as magnificent and opulent Indraprastha, the capital of the Pandavas whose story was narrated in the Mahabharata. Delhi was ruled by several dynasties, many centuries later, the Tomars and Chauhans had a Fort here, Qila Rai Pithora. Then followed seven cities – Lalkot, Siri, Tughlaqabad, Jahanpanah, Firozabad, Dinpanah and Shahjahanabad (Walled City). From 1912 was built the eighth city, the capital of British India and then of Independent India, New Delhi, designed by the British architect Edwin Landseer Lutyens who was responsible for much of the architectural design and building New Delhi. This unique and creative representation of Delhi gives us a detailed view of Shahjahanabad at the time of 1857 Uprising. It also takes us back and forward in a fascinating journey through two millennia.

Second Section comprises of less famous but equally important monuments like Qila Rai Pithora, Lodhi Gardens, Safdurjung Tomb, Agrasen ki Baoli, Malai Temple, etc. This section is very important as it creates awareness about these monuments amongst people. Third Section consists of monuments like Begumpur Masjid, Tomb of Feroz Shah Tughlak, Zafar Mahal, Chor Minar, Jahaj Mahal etc. These historical monuments are lost in ruins by the passage of time but are must visit and an effort is made through this book to highlight the lost glory of DILLI. In Fourth section Historical walks through Heritage Markets of Delhi are narrated which are Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Khan Market and Hauz Khas Village.
